WHAT WE DO - PROGRAMS
Community Programs
- Assemble,
deliver and donate whimsical gift boxes to children and adults
fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
- Our "Gift
for a Friend" enables people to send a gift box to someone they
know who is fighting a life-threatening illness.
- A $500 Book
Scholarship at the David A. Clarke/Antioch School of Law at the University
of the District of Columbia in memory of Emily S. Ansell, who graduated
from Antioch.
- A $100 "Stress
Buster" spa gift certificate. Graduating law students at UDC are invited
to write a 100-word essay on why they need some rest and relaxation
prior to taking the BAR exam.
- "Student Notes" is a joint program with various schools allowing students to send artful notes to cheer the patients. Students create the artwork and the notes are included in the individual gift boxes. This program creates synergies between the educational and charitable communities and teaches students to value volunteerism and unselfish acts of kindness.
